Sen-Tree browsing deterrent is an innovative product developed to protect new plants against kangaroos, wallabies, rabbit, pademelons and other browsing animals. Dual-active, three part product applied to certain seedlings to assist in the prevention/limitation of damage by animals. It is composed of a proprietary mix of Egg product, Adhesive and Grit.

Developed and trialled in Victoria and Tasmania by Agriculture Victoria for the Australian Market this product assists in the prevention / limitation of browsing on new and existing plantings. Easy to use and effective when used in relation to the Label the dual active deterrent lasts for up to 12 weeks. By this time, by learnt association, the browsing animal learns to source feed from other areas. In the event that there is some predation of the plant, the Second Active ingredient, the Grit component, makes the foliage unpalatable. Browsing behaviour is reduced when animals associate the odour with the unpalatable texture of the grit on the treated foliage.

Research and trial data displayed that all “Sen-Tree Browsing Deterrent” treated seedlings lost less than 10% of foliage in all trials, while other treatments lost approximately 50% foliage after approximately 3 weeks in Trial 1, and between 10-15% in Trial 3.

Stock Control & Pricing Breaks

Our webstore now indicates an approximate level of items in stock. Please note that not all warehouse locations will hold all items in stock. Stock levels are indicated as quantity breaks. These are: 1+, 6+, 12+, 36+, 100+, 250+, 500+, 1000+, 2000+ and 3000+. For example: if we have 5 ARS Florist Scissors in stock this would display as 1+ — if there are 47 in stock it will indicate 36+. As another example: if we have 14,960 Fluted Tree Guards in stock this would indicate as 3000+. The quantity also indicates the number of items as described by the product description; so Florist Scissors are sold individually whereas the 10L Carton Tree Guard is sold in boxes of 150 – in the later case 100+ items refers to 100+ boxes of 150 (or over 15,000 Carton Tree Guards in stock).

Items such as tree guards, bamboo canes and hardwood stakes often have price breaks set to fill a standard pallet size; thus savings or efficiency gains are made in the storage and transport of these items.
