As water fills the hose, pressure builds and expands the hose wall to open thousands of tiny holes that weep water slowly to saturate the ground at the plants roots. The weeping action is a controlled method of watering that uses up to 70% less water than conventional sprinklers by reducing evaporation and eliminating run-off. These hoses are flexible recycled rubber that will not freeze or crack. UV inhibitors are added in a patented process to protect hoses from the suns ultraviolet rays.
